Today’s tutorial is for a quilt block called Hamony Mandala created by Edith Choiniere, also known on Youtube as Quilt Block of the Month for March 2017 – Collection Inédith – Harmony Mandala. We have explored many mediums for creating mandalas in these posts, but this is the first quilting block tutorial I have found. Quilting blocks seem a perfect form for mandalas and I hope to find more tutorials for you in the future.

Here is what Edith Choiniere says about this video:

Here’s how to make this beautiful Quilting Block titled ‘‘Harmony Mandala”. This pattern can be used as either a Free Motion Quilting Block or as a Raw Edge Appliqué with the same FMQ design. It can be done on a domestic sewing machine or a mid-arm quilting machine.

This project was quilted with my Tiara II from Babylock. It’s a sit down, 16” throat, quilting machine with an adjustable table.

This pattern comes with instructions and templates for both Free Motion Quilting and Appliqué.
