While not a mandala artist, Lisa Park is creating something so unique with the interface of her emotions, technology and a circular array of bowls of water that I wanted to share it with you.
Seeing this first on Facebook, I found that the video below is part of a collection by Mana Contemporary on Vimeo.
In this video Lisa Park demonstrates and explains “Eunoia II”, a performance piece using an EEG headset to obtain real-time feedback of her brainwaves and emotional reactions. Emotional data picked up by the EEG headset gets translated into sound waves that create vibrations in the pools of water placed on top of speakers. Fascinating! Enjoy!

According to TED.com: “Photographer Camille Seaman shoots icebergs, showing the world the complex beauty of these massive, ancient chunks of ice. Dive in to her photo slideshow, “The Last Iceberg.”
“Camille Seaman takes photographs all over the world using digital and film cameras in multiple formats. Since 2003, her work has concentrated on the fragile environment of the polar regions. Her current project concerns the beauty of natural environments in Siberia. ”
Enjoy.
For those of you not familiar with TED Talks here is a brief summery from www.ted.com: “TED is a small nonprofit devoted to Ideas Worth Spreading. It started out (in 1984) as a conference bringing together people from three worlds: Technology, Entertainment, Design. Since then its scope has become ever broader. Along with two annual conferences — the TED Conference in Long Beach and Palm Springs each spring, and the TEDGlobal conference in Oxford UK each summer — TED includes the award-winning TEDTalks video site, the Open Translation Project and Open TV Project, the inspiring TED Fellows and TEDx programs, and the annual TED Prize”

According to TED.com: “In this image-filled talk, Yann Arthus-Bertrand displays his three most recent projects on humanity and our habitat — stunning aerial photographs in his series “The Earth From Above,” personal interviews from around the globe featured in his web project “6 billion Others,” and his soon-to-be-released movie, “Home,” which documents human impact on the environment through breathtaking video.”
“With photography, Yann Arthus-Bertrand has captured the beauty of the Earth. Through video and film, his latest projects bind together ecology and humanism. For him, it’s all about living together.”
Enjoy!
