Mandalas for BEGINNERS-Mandala Spiral Tutorial by Barbara Mandala is the tutorial for today. Dot mandalas have become very popular in the last few years. I have created a number of blog posts from dot painting tutorials starting with the popular Mandala Stones: How to Paint Mandalas on Stones. Use the search field on the left  side column of the page to find more. Now that dot painting has moved beyond rocks and onto canvas, new ways for beginners to paint are appearing in YouTube tutorials.

Mandala Monday – Half Mandala Drawing Doodle and Dot Art by BeCre8ive2

Today we have another tutorial by by BeCre8ive2, Half Mandala Drawing Doodle and Dot Art. You may remember last week and last month we presented other tutorials of her’s: Glittery Rainbow Mandala Drawing with Glitter Gel Pens and Leaf Mandala Doodle Drawing by BeCre8ive2.

Here is what she says about this tutorial:

“Mandala Drawing was created on a piece of painted paper with paint pens, gel pens and acrylic paint. The background was made by painting white all purpose paper with watered down acrylic paint and dried completely before doodling on it.”

SUPPLIES: gold paint pen (oil base)
black paint pen (oil base)
white gel pen
white acrylic paint
black acrylic paint
gold acrylic paint
filbert paint brush
embossing stylus (or other dotting tool)
ruler
white chalk pencil
painted paper (white paper stained with watery acrylic paint)
